Welcome to our Wintrode Family web site that focuses on the descendants of Johan Casper Wenderoth who immigrated to America in 1732.

Purpose

The Wintrode Family Home Page is being constructed for two reason:

1.) To help broaden the knowledge of the ancestors of the Wintrode Family. Our family has been in America since 1732 and is rich with history. 

2.) To provide a vehicle for the transfer of information to members of our family and friends and to provide a place to share our sorrows and joys as a family.

The information that is or will be included in this work comes from the National Archives at 9th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia, Pa.  It is taken from US Census reports, Immigration records, ship arrival records veterans records and many other resources available at this location.

Other research was conducted at the Philadelphia Free Library and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Vital Statistics.

Also included in this work is information taken from the book "Wenderoth" by Vern Carpenter (see the Bibliography page).
